"The Carport" is currently being constructed. The foundation is being build on articles kindly donated by Michael Clark, a freelance writer and all-around car guy local to Winnipeg. We're starting with re-running the Wheels of Dreams articles he wrote (originally published in the Winnipeg Sun).
Why, you ask? Because we feel that the events surrounding the '40 are more than just noteworthy. They show the true heart of Manitoba's car scene, and expose the generosity of all those involved in the project. The $40,000 raised for the Rainbow Society through the generosity and dedication of the El Diablos (the driving force behind the project) and all the individuals and corporations that came on board for the project will not soon be forgotten. It was truly a selfless undertaking.
Please enjoy these articles, archived for all future visitors. Michael will also be generously providing us with other articles as time goes on. We ask that you keep in mind that Michael is not currently paid for his efforts, his work is much as ours is - out of love of the hobby. So if you find one of his articles useful or noteworthy, we would ask on his behalf that you consider making a small donation to either him or one of his supported charities through the link we provide at the upper right corner. Michael has not asked that we try to generate donations on his behalf, this is a task we have willingly initiated on our own.
So enjoy these kindly donated articles, drive safe, and keep the rubber side down! :)
